The jewel represents a triptych of icons showing Jesus Christ Pantocrator in the middle, Mother of God Mary and Saint John the Baptist on the sides with appropriate abbreviations. The accessory also depicts a cross visible on the leaves in the closed condition. The medallion is decorated by the oxidized filigree motifs.
The inscription on the back side is the Prayer to the Venerable Cross: "Let God arise, and let His enemies be scattered...".
