The front side of the Sea cross depicts Jesus Christ crucifix. The Russian inscription Царь Славы means King of Glory, ІС ХР – Jesus Christ, НИКА – Victory. Mother of God Mary and Saint John the Baptist are on the sides of the crucifixion. On the top we see the Holy Trinity, on the bottom - Saint Andrew the First-Called, on the sides – Saint Mitrophan of Voronezh and Arseny of Konevitsa (patrons of fleet, navy, seafarer, sailors, seamen).
The back side of the cross necklace is fully dedicated to the protection and the salvation of the sea traveller. In the middle we see a strong figure of Angel the Guardian with old believers cross and sword. The left side image depicts the miracle of Jesus Christ - walking on the water, the right side episode - calming the storm. The top is decorated by Saint Nicholas of Myra, also called the Wonderworker. He is considered to be the Lord of the Sea and traditionally Saint Nicholas is travellers and seafarers. The bottom part of the precious necklace shows one of his miracles – calming a terrible storm and saving a ship.
