The feast day for Saint Nicholas (also called name day) is on 5-6 December in Western Christianity and on 19 December in Eastern Christianity.
The Russian scripture on the front side says "Св. Николай" that means "St. Nicholas". The Cyrillic text on the back side is a blessing prayer: "Отче священноначальниче Николае, моли Бога за душу грешную мою" that stands for "Hierarch Father Nicholas, pray God for my sinful soul".
