The front side represents the icon of Christian patron - Saint Seraphim of Sarov. The Russian inscription here says "Пр. Серафим Саровский" that means "Venerable Father Seraphim Sarovsky". The back side of the religious medal shows an old believers' cross surrounded by the Cyrillic text "ІС ХС. Господи, спаси и сохрани" that stands for "Jesus Christ. God, save and protect".
