The jewelry is done in the Byzantine tradition of VI–X centuries. The face side depicts the crowns which are the symbols of the wedding ritual in church when the best men hold the crowns over the heads of the bride and the bridegroom. Here we also see the grapevine cross which braids the crowns. The Church Slavonic text around is a fragment from Psalm 5:13 "…Гди, яко оружием благоволения венчал еси нас" that means "…God, you have crowned us by the weapon of your goodwill".
The Greek inscription on the sides is "ΕΚ ΘΕΟΥ ΟΜΟΝΟΙΑ", and it means concord (harmony) from the God. The inside text stands for the traditional wedding wishes of the bliss and the health shaped into cross.
